About Plastic Surgery procedures

Plastic surgery has been traditionally categorized as being cosmetic or reconstructive. However, this distinction is really not as clear cut as it may seem. Often, reconstructive cases such as breast reconstruction require as much attention to detail and cosmetic adjustments as a breast augmentation done for purely cosmetic reasons. At the same time, some cosmetic procedures may require the surgeon to use his knowledge in reconstructive surgery to correct a problem that was created in a cosmetic surgery procedure. Thus, the best cosmetic surgeons, are often excellent reconstructive surgeons, and vice versa. Dr. Marefat performs most cosmetic procedures and the more common reconstructive procedures.
