Microsurgery is a subspecialty of Plastic surgery that deals with reconstruction of various parts of the body with the use of the operative microscope. Under high magnification it is possible to repair and connect minute blood vessels and nerves. Such techniques may allow you to put back an amputated finger (replantation surgery), or transport one of your own muscles to another part of your body in order to reconstruct a missing or injured part. For example if you have lost the skin over your leg such that the bone of the leg is exposed, you can bring one of the muscles of the back to cover this area so that you do not have to have an amputation. Microsurgery is not specialty. It is a technique. However it is a specialize skill that allows you to repair and reconstruct structures that would be impossible with normal vision.
